Heater/Blower Box Delete

[QUOTE=Vegasw0lf;15187317]In my 77 F150 I currently have the heater bypassed, and the AC deleted from the 460 swap.
That huge **** blower box under the hood is a huge, ugly PITA.
Anyone ever remove it permanently? Have any pics?
I figure I don't need the blower, since I got windows. [/QUOTE
I did the same to my 74 f250.once you take out the black box the fan for you heater will not work because it is inside the box and you will have a hole in the fire wall.
you will need to unhook the two hose from the a.c. compressor.next inside the calender the dash on the passenger side you will need to take off the plastic cover part of the heater.
Now that you have the heater cover remove you should simply take out the a.c. radiator looking device followed by the heater core.now that all the internal parts are removed the rest is just removet the bolts around that the block box is attached to the fire wall, some are removed from under the hood and some from inside of the cab.
The one that is in the bottom corner near passenger side I just pounded out from the inside of the cab since its a tight fit to get a tool on it.the bolts are held in with a clip.
Removal after all of that is just a matter of wiggling it out.
Now remember you will now have a hole in the firewall where the a.c. unit once was.
To fill the hole I traced a piece of sheet metal and made it a hair too big and bent the edges and pounded it in the hole.next sealed it up and called it good

X2 on take out the giant box and patch the hole with a piece of metal or.....and yes a none a/c equipped truck blower/interior box set up will be much appreciated come foggy window time like on rainy days or when there is a chill in the air. A jy should have the different interior box and blower set up and different control panel.
