Feul Pressure Question

Hat will cause fuel pressure to bleed down?
I just replaced injector cups and injectors. Did I not get some thing seated correctly?

Hat do you.... er.... What do you mean by "bleed down"? Are you losing fuel pressure while the engine is running? This is as measured at the schrader valve on the FPR?

I have to crank and crank the truck to get it started. I can let it for however long, turn it off, and the try to restart it. It will take a while before it starts. Once it's running, it runs fine.
I recently installed a chip, and originally thought that might be the problem. But now I'm not so sure.
I know before I changed injectors (stock to 150) it started fine.
Could this be because I have bigger injectors?

How much have you run the truck since the injector instal. It can tak a long time to bleed the air out of the high pressure oil system

It does that because the high pressure oil system has air in it from doing injectors

Ok, so I need to drive it, then? Forgive me for asking but I've never done injectors.

No problem. That's what the forum is for. Yes the only way to get it out is to drive it or you can fill the galleys with clean oil from the ports up top. Most people just drive it though. Yes it will take a fair amount of driving. I've heard up to 200 miles.

Hey Bass, sorry to come in late on this but...... did you need to, or want to change injectors ? I see you only have 180,000 on it. That's like new for a PSD.
Anyway, short of the tough start (for now) how does it run ? what kind of injectors ? thanks

Hey Buck
I just had to replace the injector cups. So, figured I'd go ahead and do new injectors, since I had 270k on the stock injectors. Replaced stock intake with the 6637 from RiffRaff. Installed a TS Chip with Baby Swamps injectors from Swamps Diesel. Replaced stock exhaust with 4" turbo back straight exhaust. Also installed gauges.
Took it out for the first time today. I'm really liking my truck. Drives good, hopefully the hard start will diminish the more I drive it.
