As you can see by the side step, the inside of the rocker was caked in dirt.
The previous owner was a get in and drive type of guy so the truck didn't get any TLC.
You know for once, I actually feel lucky. Did he drive it in the frickin ocean or what? Interesting that yours got a hole right where mine did on the rear door. How is the rust on the rest of the car? What's the old saying.."Misery loves company". You have LOTS of company

Close, the car lived in Ontario, Canada it's whole life and they don't skimp on the salt around here.
I've seen a few EXs with the rockers rusted out in various stages. Seems like a pretty common issue if the ocean/salt/weather/boogeyman is around.
The rest of the car isn't bad, but there is a couple spots in the rear cargo floor that are rusted out. One is where the jack sits. My guess is that there was a leak from the climate control or something along those lines...
When I talked to the guy at the body shop he said for some reason they build rust there probably has to do with drainage of water and all that nonsense
talked to the guy who has my bucket around 1800 said he had the doors off and was getting ready to start drilling to get the inner rockers off and the two outer rears.
