Well i bought my 01 excursion knowing it had rust and that panels would need replaced, the issues are mainly the Rear Rocker panels on both sides i was able to order the outer rocker panels now im trying to locate the inner rocker panel which is the panel that the running boards bolt onto. Im trying to find a replacement panel so i dont have to try and make sheet metal fit.
If anyone has a place i can purchase this panel from for both sides i would greatly appreciate it

There are a few people up there that might be able to lend a hand, not sure of their skill-set or if they have time to work on others rigs (much less their own) but if they can they'll post in here soon and you'll be on your way to a new X!

Thanks guys! I'm going to stop by. A body shop see what they will want to replace that inner rocker. I have no problem doing it but I'm gonna be a busy man now so maybe easier to have them do it and just pay the bill The outer rocker is cake work lol

Welcome and congratulations! I'm working on my rust bucket right now. My right rocker panel has the rust--had a 5-6 inch hole in it. Rest is ok. Unfortunately I do not know how to weld---yet. I made a heavy metal patch that was 90 degrees. I bolted it through the pinch weld area. The top area I'm building up with body filler Round 1 is in. I'll put more on sometime this week. Not ideal but all I can do in Eastern MT 100 miles from nearest red light. If this is your first child--you will be BUSY!!--scratch that--ANY child!

My main problem is that the inner rocker is what holds the running board still. And both sides are rusted so you can't really stand on them or put much weight so that's why I'm pushing to get em fixed . I'll ne by a shop tomorrow once we get home from the hospital Thanks for the replies guys!
