I do agree, that if you are going to keep the truck for a long, long time, deleting is much better for the engine. I don't keep mine past warranty...

Interesting... Techs here say that once power is pulled for a while, the ECU/PCM clear their histories....they're not made to store that stuff once power has been pulled.
What if the truck owner pulls or hauls enough to keep the truck in passive regen all the time? It'll never go active/command, and the computer will never register it.
I live in FL and pull a 5th wheel on vacation to SD, AZ, UT, WY , get the picture...Scary with no warranty...Your local dealer is not there to save you...
Where I live, I have a bi-annual emission test. If I pulled in without the right equipment under the truck, they would not even start the test. Too much of a bother to remove and re-install.
