New to the boards - Got a 1994 F-250 super cab xlt with 5.8 fuelie AOD 8600 GVW. 208k miles. Have had it since 06 and never had issues. Had it parked for a couple months and can't get it to start. Fresh battery and charge. I can smell the fuel so I know it is getting gas. It almost sounds like it will start on the first crank - but after that it just keeps cranking with no sign of starting.
Where to start my trouble shooting is my question. Do these trucks have that module on the distributor like some of the Ford cars of this era?

Thanks in advance.
Hey 94windsor, welcome to FTE!
That module is called an ICM (Ignition Control Module) or TFI (Thick Film Ignition) module and is either on the distributor just like some older Ford cars, or on the driver side fender near the hood hinge. Where it is depends on the year of the truck.
You're on the right path checking for spark. Common failure on these is the PIP (Profile Ignition Pickup) sensor in the distributor, which is what tells the ICM to fire the coil... basically what points did on the older motors.
The OP's truck uses a remote mounted Ignition Control Module located on the driver side inner fender near the hood hinge. The remote ICMs rarely go bad.

Check for spark at the coil output and at the plugs while cranking.
One correction to your post....your truck has an electronic controlled E4OD transmission. The F250/350 trucks never came with an AOD from the factory.
