Help with lost plug

Hey All,

I recently purchased an 88 Ford F250 with the 7.5l. I was in the process of doing a tune up and came across this plug that is not plugged into anything. It is located on the left hand side just above the #1 Cylinder. Any thoughts on where it goes? I couldn't find anything.

That looks like an EGR position sensor connector.

Not enough wires for EGR position. Canister purge valve maybe?

May be coolant water temp. sensor. Look around your top radiator hose.

Hey Guys,

I finally got around to taking a few more pics of the plug. It looks like the harness it belongs to runs down the passenger side of the block to the 02 sensor.

I also came acrossed another plug. This one looks to be part of the wiring harness associated with the SPOUT. Any thoughts?

Could this be for something else other than the A/C compressor? The truck doesnt have A/C.

Thanks,

Thanks,
It looks like it had A/C at one time. It appears that the compressor was replaced with a "bypass pulley".

If this one belongs to the trailer harness where should it plug into? I am going to follow the wiring harness back this weekend.

Thanks,

Thanks,
If you have a trailer tow harness, there are actually two connectors like that. The harness plugs into those and runs down along the frame to the rear. I can get a pic for your this evening.
