Hood release won't open it still feels like its connected thou. anyway to open from the outside?

Spring is a possibility. Lack of lubrication could be it also. If you get a visual of the spring being in place get a can of white lithium grease and spray the tar out of the assembly . After that push down and pull up on the front edege of the hood with someone keeping the latch release pulled in the cab

I had that prblem. the hood strus where shot and wouldn't raize the hood from the first cath. Have some one hold the hood relise lever while you lift the hood. Then replace the struts.

Look through the grill at the hood latch. You should see 2 8mm bolts. Stick socket w/ extension through grill, remove bolts, hood should open far enough to disengage latch.

My hood got stuck before and it turned out the spring latch was the problem. But i wasn't careful enough, I used a bar to twist the cable, I ended up having to get a new cable and latch. Hope you get yours opened without any damage.
