Okay so I just got a new LED 3rd break light for my 2003 f150. When I pulled my old one out it was just one cord that branched off into 3 that connects to the bulbs. My new one has that already in it with a connector on the end and I can't find the connector that goes to it in my truck. Is it hiding somewhere in the cab or what? Please give me some advice! Thanks!
You should not have to take it off completely.
Depending what cab you have, you can just remove a few pieces to get under the headliner to get to the wire.
Youtube has several videos on how to do it (look for ones that are replacing the rear window, the steps for getting the headliner out of the way are in those.
Been a long time ago when I did mine and it was a reg. cab but I just reached back under the headliner and disconnected/connected the new one. Didn't remove anything inside the cab IIRC.
