02 F250 box/bed replace ??
I have a 2002 F250 4x4 with a 6.5 bed/box .
The cancer is getting real bad from the salt up here so I would like to replace it .
Can someone tell me up to what year or post a link to a thread where I might find the information that I am looking for to replace it ??

I believe any Super Duty bed would fit on there just fine. I know through '07 will for sure, because I replaced mine with an '07 bed. Got it from the local junk yard out at school, had a small dent to pull out and some paint scratches, but it was getting repainted anyways, so I didn't care.
To replace it is fairly straightforward. Release the bed bolts from the bottom, disconnect the fuel fill hose, disconnect your wiring from your tail lights, eat your wheaties and lift. Or get something to do that lift part for you.
To get your tail lights out there are two bolts along the edge with the tailgate, take those out, then pry the light out. There are two of those push in deals holding the light on the outer edge. It always feels like its going to break the light, but it hasn't yet.

The recycler databases around here say '99-'12 are all interchangeable, with a couple of the later years only having slightly different wheel wells but not affecting fitment. I've been watching the databases for a good deal on a 8' white box so I can swap out my bed as well.

If you can find somewhere that installs utility bodies on trucks, they usually have pretty good deals on the beds they remove. Most of the model years beds will fit, however, the later style beds have a slightly different wheel arch than ours, nothing that is really noticeable unless you have a touch of the OCD like me! Find a particular model year bed you like and start calling around, they are pretty straight forward to change out, get some friends and a few 6 packs and you will have it looking all nice in no time!
