the Dana 44 front axle is on my 1984 f250. since the rotor needs replacing, I would like to have an idea of the torque for the inner and outer bearings and the hub nuts, just so this whole affair can be done right.
Use the special socket and tighten the first nut against the bearings while rotating the wheel to 50 ftlbs. Then back off 45 degrees of rotation.
Then install the lockwasher and the second nut, and tighten the second nut to 150 ftlbs. When the tire is installed, grab it at the top and the bottom, the play should be less than .006.
