Skid plates
I have a 6.7L 2011 F250 4X4. It is not the FX4. (see my avatar)
There is little protection between the frame rails for the plastic oil pan, Fuel parts, and fuel tank.
The dealer says there are no oem under body protection plates for these critical components.
Can anyone point me in the direction for aftermarket parts with recommendations and real life experience?

I found this on Tasca Parts web site... the FX4 package adds skid plates - I have them on my 2015!

I have the factory skid plates on my 15 too.
They protect the Transfer case and Gas tank only.
The oil pans are now metal 12 & up (I think)
The fuel system and the rest is still exposed.
I don't really go off road, so I don't really think they do any good, but who knows.... ??

just get you some heavy gauge steel and make a skid plate for the oil pan. Just make sure to weld some ribs on to help stiffen the plate, you'd hate to have the item that's supposed to be protecting the pan bend and damage it.
The OEM skid plates are pretty light and won't protect from much of an impact.
