OEM Skid Plates
Took delivery of my truck Friday night. I ordered the skid plate option and was surprised when I climbed underneath and did not see a skid plate protecting the oil pan. I did see one each for the Transfer Case and Fuel Tank, but not for the oil pan. I find this odd.

Yep, just went through this myself, checked online and found that this is the way the package is.
I expected to see a big honkin skid plate right where you mentioned.
To make it even more funny, I had a good friend who's a mechanic ask if I'd need to drop the plate to change the oil.....haha, I told him I'd check

Could it be that the area below the oil pan may not be designed so that a skid plate could be mounted. I haven't look under my truck but there are a lot of moving part under the front-end. Just a thought.

Is the skid plate and attaching hardware the same for your diesel and for my gas burner?

So you lose the skid plate with the new tank? I'd really like to have 55 gal tank but not sure if I want to spend the money. Plus nobody in town that sell Titan.
