neutral safety switch

Does anyone know how to by-pass the neutral safety switch on an 89 A4LD trann?....

cut and jumper or leave open.

Un-plug it at the clutch pedal and put in a cut down paper clip. I hated, clutching, braking when stalled on rocks! HEE HEE!

however, there are 5 pins not just one wire...

Hmmm. Mine only has two. In and Out. You definately don't want to short something out. Check the wiring diagram in your manual and see what wire leads to the NSS. If you don't have a manual, head down to the library and check out one of them. You can make a couple of copies while you're there. One wire may be for the Slave Cyl. Sensor, Tranny Sensor. You should be able to get through it ok. Also check out autozone.com and go to the repair section. That may help also. Talk with you guys later....
