Neutral safety switch

I can't seem to figure out how to remove the neutral safety switch on my 99 expedition. I've removed the two bolts but it won't slide off. Is there a trick to this ?

Did you also remove the control lever (and it's nut) in the center? If so, it should now slide off. It could be stuck and in need of a little persuasion.

Do you have to remove this from the transmission side ? There is no nut on the outside of mine.

The side of what that faces the tranny, and which side of the tranny. You're not explaining your question very well.

Got it figured out, it just slides off but it was real tight, thought I going to break it getting it off, but with a lot of prying it finally came off. Sorry if I wasn't specific enough alloro.
