I was looking for replacement boost and EGT gauges because my Auber gauges are giving contradictory information. (If you are looking at Auber, don't. It was a failed experiment. Their dual gauge came incorrectly calibrated out of the box, which I had to recalibrate. Then their expensive EGT probe failed, and they wouldn't give me a replacement, even after I generously gave them the recalibration data which they claimed to have included in future shipments of their devices. And I'm still not 100% sure their boost sensor is functioning properly. Every piece of their system failed or acted wonky.)
I found a company called "E Support" on Amazon. They have a selection of gauges that are crazy cheap.

Sure looks like Glow Shift to me. Probably same thing with a different label.

That doesn't necessarily follow through, if I buy some piece of crap and turn around and sell it to you at triple the price, is it somehow suddenly better because you paid more?
What's wrong with your auber gauge? The sensor may be crap, but a k-type sensor is a k-type sensor, right?
You can find replacement sensors pretty cheap. I'm currently running an auber gauge with the stock Banks probe, and it seems to read decently well...

Well if I am stupid enough to buy something at three times the price everyone else is selling it at then shame on me for not being diligent enough in my purchasing decisions
I'm replacing my EGT K-type probe, in the hopes that maybe I can salvage my Auber Dual reader. But my experience with them and their stuff was sub-par. Maybe I'm just pissed cuz i did them a favor and they didn't even replace their faulty probe after only a few months of use. You would think a temp sensor would last more than 20 weeks.
So now I'm on a campaign against them. this will be double if my new boost gauge shows a different reading than what the Auber boost gauge is displaying. And my friend and I suspect that is true.
Back on topic, of course you get what you pay for. But some of these gauges are ten bucks. you could go through a dozen of these gauges before you spend more than a Banks turbo gauge kit. I just don't understand why there is no middle ground. I'd pay $100 for a decent Boost/EGT kit. But no. There is only $250 Banks or $50 junk. Well, now $25 junk.
I'm sure I'll return to this thread in a month to post that my $10 boost gauge kit failed. But at least I won't feel as bad as blowing $175 on an Auber kit that failed just as quickly.

That's not my point though, price does not equal quality. Just because something is overpriced does not mean that it is exceptional.
You know, if you can find that ISSPRO yard sale, I got my boost gauges from them for even less then these "E-Support" gauges. That was a while back though, no clue if they still have them.
I had looked at the Dragon Gauge EGT on ebay once, but I figured trying to read a gauge in Celsius would just drive me crazy....er.
Here it is, they still have some although I don't think these are the same ones I purchased. Bottom of the page, $8.25. Only catch is they only go to 15lbs so just for those of us at stockish boost:

Thanks for the link. That's why I love this forum. Ideally, I don't want to buy a expensive whole kit just to test boost, so something < $10 is ideal. For my hypermax setup and no head studs, I'm keeping everything under 10psi anyway.
One thing i would point out, if you bought a quality piece like the Isspro 16000series Ev2, use it a month, then you could re sell it and recoupe the majority of your investment. You might also try a heavy truck wrecking yard. Guy out in the valley round here sells pyros for $50 out of salvage trucks. Im 90% sure that KW / Peterbilt gauges are Isspro (at least the newer ones, the older are Stewart Warner which are equally good if not better)
