Well, your SCT 3015, also know as a SF3, has the capability of logging data and showing it back to you on the device's screen or you can download it to a computer and view it there. Here is a manual: http://www.sctflash.com/PDF/X3_SF3Manual.pdf
No way would I pull the top of the engine apart just to inspect the resivoir screen.
On your data, we will want to see ICP and IPR while the engine is cranking to know what's happening with the high pressure oil system, sync and FICM sync will tell if the injectors are firing, and FICM main power or FMP to asses the health of the fuel injection control module, and finally, cranking RPM.
It was mentioned earlier to pull the IPR, remove the screen, and flush out that end of it with some WD-40 or similar. Use a small screwdriver to push in the plunger a little bit while flushing. Because you found the previous screen broken, a small piece of trash in the plunger can hold it open and keep it from making enough pressure to start.
Once it's running and up to full operating temp we can evaluate if the oil cooler is bad by looking at coolant temp and comparing it to oil temp. That is unless you currently have oil in your coolant bottle.
Ok I'll look at those links. I did take out the ipr the other day and noticed the screen had a hole in it. I replaced the screen and I pushed in on the valve and sprayed some cleaner in it. How far towards the end should it spring back to. Anyone have a picture of a good ipr looking at it through the end? Maybe it is stuck open and I don't even know it.
You can check the electrical side of the IPR on the bench with a multimeter. Reading across the pins you should get between 3 and 15ohms, most read around 6ohms. Of course open or full continuity is bad.
If you've already re-installed it, Pull out the middle PCM connector and ohm out pin #2 of the PCM connector by the driver side battery (yellow with red stripe coloured wire) to the positive terminal of the driver side battery at key-on/engine-off. (Yes, positive post with key on ).
