OK this might be a crazy question but I can not find anything on this. On the bottom side of the front bumper on my 84 there is holes like for a valance. Was there ever a valance option for these trucks or are these holes for something else. Trying to get everything sorted out before final paint.

Yes, the Bullnose was the very first F-Series truck to get a valence under the bumper from Ford, but it was very small. See the thread below for a picture:
Thanks for the answers.....I was hoping for something a little bigger. I was wanting something to be able to recess lights in. So.....I built one. Lights are not in yet but the basic shape is done. Sorry pic was so big.
looks good.just the right length.any longer and it'll snag stuff.mine is a cut down superduty valance.the tall superduty ones always get wrecked(thats how i got mine.
It's out of some bent up 14 or 16 gauge sheet metal, can't remember which. I bent those pieces up a while ago when I was building the new bed for the truck and never used it. So..... it was 5 1/2 inches tall and laying around the shop and it turned into a valance. It's funny what a what cutting wheel and a Hobart mig can turn things into. Still trying to find the right lights to put in it. Trying to get this all done so I can get the truck in paint. Still have the back bumper to go as well, but waiting on the bent piece of 10 gauge C channel.
