Ok i have a replacement bumper, but it looks different from my oem bumper. this one has little holes around it, like there is some rubber strip, or something that goes there. Anybody know what it is, or have something like that?
You can see it pretty clearly in that picture of my truck, the grey thing going around the bumper.
I also realized for the first time just now when getting that picture that the old one was black, and my replacement was grey...oh well.
i dont care if it has the strip or not. i kinda like the idea in case it ever rolls into something(like a post at very slow speeds) it mounts on the truck, it just has a bunch of rather stupid looking holes right now. thanks
The strip is pretty cheap...I think mine was like $12, it was one of the parts I had to replace when I had all the front end damage.
And it's quite durable...I've minorly hit (on purpose) lots of stuff, and pushed a buddy's truck...it still looks brand new. The one that took the blunt of the mailbox hit didn't look bad actually.
It's mounted with a bunch of really stupid rings on the back that sort of grip the posts in the trim peice. I can get a picture if you want.
