Anyone know what this front bumper is off of? Not like the one on my '57 but I really like the look better than the stock piece. Was going to run without one and fill the bumper brace holes but kind of re-thinking my plan on this.
Did you have to do any modifications to mount it to your '57? Did you have to make / buy new brackets? Did you have to tuck it in by cutting the frame?
Spark, looks just like the bumper on my '60. There are a couple of brackets on the inside to bolt it to the frame. Should you decide to go that route I think I have a couple of extras.
I noticed just now this is an older thread.........offer still stands.
Thanks for the offer, I would like to find a used bumper with the brackets. My concern is getting the bumper tucked in and what that takes. If I find a bumper minus brackets I might hit you up on the offer. Thanks again.
I found a complete bumper with brackets and it bolted right up. I plan to tuck it back tighter against the body when I assemble for the final time. I want to move it back about 3/4" to tighten up some gaps. Don't think I'll have to cut the end of the frame off but will have to move some bolt holes.
