anybody got one of these?

seems like cheap insurance. will it fit these old fords?

You can use a hose clamp too for about $0.99

Thanks! That's actually free, since I have one! Would be better to use a hose clamp that needs a socket instead of a screwdriver.

But $15 would be cheap peace of mind if that lock will fit. Anybody know?

You could put some jb weld on the hose clamp to make it harder to loosen with a screwdriver or socket. Some in the screw mechanism would make it so it needs to be cut off.
Is tailgate theft that common where you live?

I used the one with a hex head and then turned it downward so it could only be removed by a wrench. I first learned this trick in 1990 from the Ford dealer I bought my '90 F150 from.
