couple problems on 2003 Navigator

Hello,

I have had my 03 Navigator for a couple years now. I have had a couple problems, but nothing too bad. The front end dropped, it was an O ring the dealership replaced.

Now the back end dropped, and they think it is the rear ride height sensor. They said it is going to be about $450 to replace it. Does anyone know, do you have to calibrate new ride height sensors? I need to replace the front ones too.

I have two other problems. When I first start up the truck, my dash lights, including the spedo are not lighting up. I have to flash the lights back and forth a few times and then usually the lights come back on. The last time, I had to go about 5 miles before the lights came on. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to get it fixed?

My radio is stuck with 6 cds in it. I can't get it to eject them. I'm thinking that I m going to have to take it in to get the radio replaced. I am not sure what else to do. Can you change it out to the navigation system with a cd player? I don't know what the options are on this.

Oh, I am also going to have to at some point replace the heat/cool unit for the passenger seat. i guess that has gone out too.

Those were the things I was told last time I took it in to get some service.

I am loving this Navigator. It has done everything I've asked for, including doing a long road trip from MN to TN to MO, IA, WI and back to MN. It did great. Now we are starting to do some camping and doing great with that.

If I can get some help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
nathan

No the height sensor does not need to be calibrated. Also, 450 seems rather high. The part (last I knew) was around 250 and it takes less than a 1/2 hour to change.

For the dash lights I'd say it's either a bad headlight switch or a bad dash light dimmer switch. Have you tried moving the dimmer to see if that effects it?

For the stuck CDs, remove the radio.

I see rear height sensors (aftermarket) for $100 or less on eBay etc. Looks like there are factory rear height sensors for $106 on ebay.

I just checked eBay and the cheapest I found for a 2003 navigator rear height sensor is $278.73 with free shipping. Could you post the link to the $100 aftermarket and the $106 factory ones?
