The heads grind em off...I bought new nut plates and tapped them and used real bolts. No more torx junk that are forced through the nut plates to make threads..
Thats the way I did it. My 99 only has 6 bolts I think.
Last year I was able to remove 2 bed bolts with penetrating oil and an impact. The rest were cut off with a standard plasma cutter.
These bolts were soaked with penetrating oil for several days before attempting to remove them. The stuff that they put on the roads now should be patented for its ability to weld steel parts together.

That's a good one I need to use that now lol.
As far as using regular bolts I am considering that as well for ease of removal if I need to again since a socket is less likely to break than a torx bit.
Part of the problem is that the nuts are not flat up to the frame
they have a little cup to then and the road crap settles in and makes
a very hard rust bond that is not easy to get at.
But other than the 3 I did end up having to cut it's been a very useful tool
for removing rusted stuck bolts. One other place that is handy is in you
have a bolt that has some loctight on it. Little heat and the loctight lets go.
