I'll be straight up - I'm brand new to this forum, don't own a truck to lend me any credence in the forum (I currently have a 2012 Ram 1500, although my landlord has a '70 F250 4WD that I may be getting), and I'm not nearly as talented as the majority of the folks doing a lot of stuff on this forum although I'm somewhat decent at turning a wrench.
BUT, I'm a big fan of this idea. I'm also a quasi-professional photographer located in Denver, CO, have a lot of "spare" time (I'm a 911 dispatcher), and I'm personally related to, and also friends with, many individuals who have served our country in the armed forces, some of which have benefitted greatly from the Wounded Warrior Project. So, if this project happened to take place within a reasonable distance from me, I would be glad to volunteer my services free of charge.
just to throw it out there i have a 67 dash/ gauge cluster heck even the whole cab if it had the floor patched but alas the drivers door is gone to my good buddy itsabullit maybe someone should get ahold of Gary Lewis (Dad's Truck Build) even though he is a bull nose fan i can't think of a single person who has such a keen eye for detail and like myself in the dead center of the U.S.A if my shop was done i would offer my services.... My family has many Military Vets from WW2 to present day from all branches so say the word and i will do what i can
That would be AWESOME if one of the popular guys on here took it on. I even contacted one of the Mods and asked him if he could. He is not in the position to do so.
If I had the floor and knew how to weld I'd MAKE time for it. My HOA would not allow me to do it as I have a HOA snitch in my neighborhood. Little weasel. I'd help Any way I could outside of that.
I've certainly got the time, a somewhat usable space, and the will, but not the skill. As I posted above, I'm willing to help in whatever capacity I can though.
I don't have alot of extra parts(302 stuff but looks like thats covered)but this is an awesome idea!!! I would donate money and labor if the shop was close to North Carolina.
I have a full set of glass for a bumpside, a grill for burgers, a cooler full of beer.
I don't have any small block parts, except for that anchor , but I have a few FE's
Have wheels, can travel. The construction life has my time limited...
I think it would be kinda cool if the build took place in Oklahoma or Kansas, some place towards the middle of the country we could flock too.
I have a set of front I-beams. some unused rear brake brake drums, and will soon have a full rear suspension (F250 2wd) when I install the 4link and airbags. I also have an alarmingly large pile of OEM ford rust that came off the Body before I replaced a number of the panels.
