Kit ? No kit.... just get a pickup cab and mount it up. You will need to make/move mounts for the cab corners. You will need to shorten up a bed to make it fit. I have seen these around, they look pretty good. My beater bronco is rusting away, and before I put a roll cage on, I will be putting just a Cab of a pick on it. and then making a bed/roll cage in the back portion.
Just one question......WHY? Trade it in on a pickup if you want a pickup that badly. Why ruin a perfectly good Bronco. And just what do you expect to be able to haul around in the four foot bed you will be left with on a Bronco's wheelbase and frame? Personal opinion. Obviously I can't keep anyone from making their vehicle their own. Just remember, Broncos are going to become more and more rare in the coming years. The F-series isn't going anywhere. Time will make a greater value out of an original Bronco than any pickup truck.

Well said greystreak92.
Their is aguy near my dad's shop that has a 78 or a 79, not sure, but it has one of those half cab conversions on it, every time I see it, it kills me, maybe because its just sitting with four flat tires in his driveway and starting to rot.
I plan to make him an offer on it when I have money.

The conversion mentioned above isn't permanent. It's made to swap in and out in just a few minutes. And why would anyone change one? Because they look cooler than all gitout.
i got my 86 bronco free its now a pick up i had an old ford sliliding window some thin sheet metal fiber glass and wala a pick up and when i need more room i just put the top on open the window and the kids get air
The reason I would personally do it, and it would only be a pickup cab on my bronco frame is because my beater bronco's body is literally falling apart... Good old Massachusetts road salt !
Like I said, to each their own. I can make no judgement on anyone who choses to "personalize" their vehicle in their own way. Personally, its a total waste of time and energy for a vehicle that gains no greater hauling capacity than any other Bronco has with the top merely removed. Of course Broncos without their tops look cool. Whats the purpose behind adding the rear window or steel section behind the front seats? Wintertime hauling? Pffft! The reason I DON'T have a pickup is for the simple fact that I don't want to be pestered by friends and relatives who want me to move their stuff around. Its just a modification I can't see much purpose for....adding a bulkhead like the old halfcab Broncos (66-77) would only take away from what little cargo space there IS in a Bronco to begin with. Its no fun to haul stuff around in the winter anyway.
Like I said guys, just playing devil's advocate here. Obviously, if you feel it something worth doing, go for it.
The Bronco has a shorter wheel base than a F150 shortbed correct? So the conversion would provide the shortest wheel base possible in a full-size pickup. This might be intriguing to the rock crawlin' crowd. Just my thought.
The reason I'm changing my Bronco to a flatbed pickup is tire and trail clearance. I use mine for heavy duty off-roading, installing a 12 inch lift to clear 44 inch tires isn't an option. I'll fit those tires with 4 to 6 inches of lift after removing the body and installing a pickup cab. Even then it'll require some surgery. The front fenders will also be almost entirely removed and new inner fenders made.
As severely as my Colorado truck is rusted out, I can't imagine what you guys in the east must deal with
