The late 60's to early 70's blocks are the best from what I've read and you definitely don't need an aftermarket block for 800 HP. Just type in google "stock bottom 351w turbo" plenty of info and plenty of folks running low 9's and 8's with a stock 351 block, crank, rods, most do pistons and new bearings and that's about it. A decent and I mean "decent" nothing special set of heads and an intake manifold carb or efi a Borg warner s476 or s480 and you can make enough power to show up just about anything around obviously I'm not mentioning the little bits I'm sure you would want roller rockers and such but if you start out with a 94-97 production 351 block you'll have factory roller lifters as well very common to put those in a mustang they handle great power as well and then yo can use a fr f-303 can which seems to be a popular can for forced induction as well
