Could someone explain how to tell (without having the car as a reference) if a CV front end was removed from P71 Police Interceptor or standard car?
I have the opportunity to purchase the front end shown below for $200, but I'm not sure if it is from the correct year range and if it is compatible with my 64 F100.
Both p71 and standard front ends will work for the swap, as long as they are the aluminum, bolt in style (03+, i believe). I believe the difference is in springs and shocks.
What you have will work, and looks complete. You will need wheels with the correct offset also. For $200, that is a good deal.
this looks just like what i am having put in my truck. the only difference between the two is the shocks and springs. i got mine for $275 so under $200 is an awesome deal.
Was looking around at other çrown vic clips and ones that say they are police interceptors show aluminum top mounts. It may be that some years had them and others didn't.
