2008 Screw with Trans codes
A week ago purchased a 2008 5.4L XLT crew cab 4x4 with 53k miles from a company called Car Sense. Within a couple of days the truck pulled a P0740 and a P0743 tranny code. This indicates trouble with torque convertor clutch electrical. Since truck came with 3k mile drivetrain took it to them on Monday. Today they called me and said they found some metal in pan and valve body and are ordering and installing a complete Ford reman tranny under warranty and rental car is covered. Will be a few more days without truck but so far can't complain about the service.
