Hi Scott,
No, I did not remove the Alt. and have it bench tested...... Yet. I did check the voltage with my Fluke 88 and will all acc. turned on I was getting a solid 14v at each battery. So I have scratched my head on that one. Why your Scan gauge II was getting down to 13.3/13.2 I have no idea. I did buy Torque Pro app and I'm waiting on the ODBII dongle. B.

well 14 v on the Battery's is good tells us the alt is Charging now we need the amp draw from the Alt making sure it up to pair full load.
Yes, I was going to try and swing by a shop tomorrow and have them do a load test on the alternator in vehicle. I would like to make sure that new alt. is working like it should. If not I might put the old one back in and see if there is a difference. B.
Well the CEL and P0402 came back today. I bought a can of MAF cleaner and cleaned the MAF and cleared the code. For giggles, I pulled my air cleaner out to have a look. For some odd reason I have been getting a "Chk air filter" warning on my dash. Well, oil was dripping off the filter!!!!
I guess when I cleaned it over the last two weeks I used a we-bit to much oil (LOL) when I re-oiled the filter. I have a spare filter so I tossed that in. Will report back in a day or two.
That's okay Scott at least we tried right? Thanks for your help dude I really appreciate it. B.
Your Welcome Bruce, Just trying to( paying it forward) I'm sure when summer gets to cracken the Nor Cal Chapter will have some GTG , the one down in Morgan hill is always fun and we missed Pismo Beach. Keep us posted on the out come and if I wasn't so tired my brain would give a little more Info. lol
Well, it's been like three days without a code or check engine light. I scanned the beast and nothing was logged. So I guess I got her liked for now.
She is running great. I like the Atlas 40 tune from FICMRepair. Very noticeably less turbo lag and more power under the hood as well. I may not even put my ECM flash tune back in and leave her like this. There is still a very little turbo lag. But then she is a heavy beast too.
I had her weighed this weekend. 7860 pounds. That's for a 2006 F250 XLT 6.0 PSD 4x4 CC SB automatic with 33" tires, a bag of tools behind the rear seat, a length of trucker chain, some rope, a receiver hitch, camper package WITHOUT camper (LOL), 3/4 tank of fuel, my 245 pounds and one middle weight Queensland Healer. Not bad huh?
Thanks everyone for their help. I just hope I can repay it one day. I'm off to Australia tomorrow night for three weeks for work. I will try and check in while I'm gone. Thank God for laptops right?
Australia, that's how you can repay us back Mate , I would have had my Bags packed so fast Enjoy the Out back when you can. sounds like your truck is running good and some Turbo's don't Quote me but they need the extra boost to get the full Benefit , I cant tell you at what setting will do this. and some one will chime in to tell us. Have fun and a safe trip. just a little note If you have received good Info press the scale's on the upper right hand corner and leave a response as to what was done or damaged , that's how we do it.
