I have a 1985 ford F250 I want to swap in a 90s dash and wondering if its possible and is there any fab work that will need to be done I will also be swaping in the wiring harness from a 90s .
While the 80-96 trucks share a lot of parts, and the floor pans and body lines are somewhat close, trying to man handle another dash that wasn't designed for it will be quite the task i'm betting. HVAC ducts won't match up, reinforcement bolts will need to go in places it wasn't meant for, the list goes on and on.
What are you trying to accomplish? Just a different looking dash, or do you just like the look of the newer dashes?
There's a thread floating around here where people have modified their gauge panels and installed aftermarket gauges in them for a whole new look.
It will be 87-91. The truck is a 6.9 diesel, I'm going to swap in a cummins and make it a show/Daily driver. The wiring harness that was in the truck had to come out because the previous owner tried to wire everything his self and messed it all up,
