I replaced drivers side wheel hub as it was shot out, took my time and the replacement went without a hitch except after test drive I am still getting a squeak from that wheel when going around corner to the right.
Any suggestions as what might be causing this? Not the dust shield and no noise when free spinning on a jack, so I'm at a loss!
Some members have been reporting singing ball joints ! ?
Just a note on all sealed bearings. They usually just have a seal on each side that can be popped out with a 45 degree pick. My cousin showed me some new ones and they have very little grease in them. I pop out the seal, add grease, and then push the seal back on. Usually even one that's pressed in to an idler pulley, you have access to one side and can add grease. I use the grease in my grease gun, but I use a synthetic grease.
I greased the new seal, made sure everything was clean before installing new hub unit.
I just got back from a round trip of about 75 miles and everything seems to good to go but slow right turns will produce a squeak still, driving me freaking nuts!
I will double check u-joints but they seem to be holding, I didn't see a zerk anywhere on them , did I miss them?
