I have a 1983 F150 flareside with a 302. I am at the end of the full restoration and started the truck for the first time today. The rpm's went right up and I had to shut it down. Not sure what is going on. The carb is new and was supposedly bench tested. The throttle has returned to the idle position. I checked the vacuum lines and all are new and seem to be connected. Could it be that the intake has a leak? What else should I look at?
