302 HO high idle

I just swapped a 302 HO into my truck from another truck that got the engine from a Mustang. My truck originally had a 4.9 six. The 302 ran fine in the donor truck, but we we swapped it into mine, it idles very high. There are no vacuum leaks and the throttle cable is operating fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Is it in the electrical system or in the carbuerator itself? Thanks

What carb are you running? It really sounds like a vac leak. What happens when you idle down the carb? I know when I put a new carb on my truck the return spring looked like it hooked right up, well it did ,but it held the throttle up off of idle. Can you push it down with your finger? I changed where the spring hooked and it was fixed. Other than that how about your timing that will make it idle high(or low depending on which way you turn it). Hope this helps(sorry I didn't post sooner) or someone else for that matter.
