My key grew legs and ran off on me, I know in order to get the ignition cylinder out I have to have the key or drill the cylinder out verrrrrry carefully (which I'm not wanting to do) -- so I was just wondering if there is any other way or how I would go about getting another key made? Or if I have to take it to the shop to get it done or what?

Locksmith is your only chance. Ford only holds key codes for seven years

 

Yup, he drilled it out and put in a new cylinder, problem solved thanks!

 

What did you do about your door locks ?

 

Never had a key for the door locks to be honest...the locksmith mentioned something about 2 clips and a bar to replace those though...no big deal for now

 

The ignition key was the door key

 

The ignition cylinder (and key) wasn't stock, it was changed with the steering column
