HOW TO REPLACE IGNITION CYLINDER WITHOUT KEY?
I lost my one and only key for my 2002 F150, Now I need to replace door and ignition cylinders.
Is it possible to remove the ignition cylinder without the key?
It is a semi urgent matter, but I am still key hunting while deciding what to do?
I would call a locksmith, but the possibility of someone else with the key is likely. So re keying
is quite possibly the only solution.

Not on a 2002 they only keep records a few years to do that at the dealer, also requires about 3 forms of ID and 3 forms of proof of ownership and 4 hail Mary's to get one made.
I'd think a locksmith would have some kind of master key to remove the cylinder, short of drilling it out I don't know how you do it without a key.

Called the dealer, they only go back 10 years, and of course I missed by one year.
A locksmith wants $200.00 to cut a new key.
One more thing, if I get a new cylinder and key, how does it affect the PATS system.
I am sure the key I have is a chip key and I do have a theft light that flashes on the
instrument panel - so do I have PATS? AND is my key one with a transponder?

call your local chapter and have a key party? 
sorry my advice didn't help, i had done it about a decade ago for my 5-6 y/o escort

Job finished and working great.
My suggestion is call a locksmith. Saves a lot of time and no
Frustration required.
Two new programmed keys, rekeyed ignition and drivers door -
All for 240.00.
He took about 2.5 hours.
