Its stamped on a 1"x3" raised "tab" on the driver rear just above the bell housing. Its very hard to see even after some serious cleaning. At least, that's whats on the core engine that I just replaced.
I'm sure Ford keeps records on this, have you reached out to Customer Service to see what they can find? Do you still have any contacts from when you used to work there?

Any possibility of taking a picture to show exactly where it is? Thanks
Thanks everyone for your help. I'm going to tell the "DMV" here that its the number listed on the crankcase ventilation routing is it. Its impossible to see the actual engine number while the engine is fitted to the vehicle.
The 6.7L Engine Serial Number is recorded by Ford during manufacturing and can be accessed using the HVBOM option of OASIS. Your Ford dealer should be willing to access it for you or any friendly Ford Technician you know on-line willing to do so for you if you ask really really nicely. The number will be accurate as long as the engine has not been replaced or the engine block was not replaced with a service part.
Like Vince stated the number is difficult to read with the engine out and almost impossible with the engine in the truck.
I do hope this helps you.
Holy crap it has been a loooooong time since I have been on this forum!
I have a question with my 6.4 liter serial number is it possible to identify it with my VIN number of my truck? Can I find out if that motor belongs to my truck pair it together?
So I so I guess I'm asking if I can identify my motor to my vehicle VIN number. I received my truck back in pieces from an auto mechanic in town and I'm trying to figure out if he gave me my block back the block that was matched up with my truck from the factory?
The engine serial number is located on the flat spor of the block left of the oil filter Laying flat on your back your head facing the rear look up at the oil filter look to the left you will see a flat spot :BINGO There you will find the serial number if the last 4 numbers match the last 4 numbers of the VIN your engine is the original. 8 This the location of an F350's engine serial number.
