Also check the tin nut on the back of the IPR. Make sure it is still on there and snug. If it comes off, and they sometimes do, it will let the coil slide back and cause long cranks. If it slides back too far, it will cause a no start.
I've been able to start the truck 3 times this morning, but still longer than normal cranking sequences. However, it will not immediately restart after running. I can't imagine that one bad glow plug is causing that. Still going to pick up a new CPS today and install it...just for the fun of it if nothing else.
Quick Update:
Been raining most of the day, but I just caught a break in it, long enough to install a new CPS. Started up (long sequence), turned it off, started up again, turned it off, would not start on 3rd try. Have not yet had a chance to check out the other things suggested on this thread...raining again...
Took the plunge and bought the AutoEnginuity Ford Enhance Bundle from the always awesome folks at RiffRaff. Did some playing with it today and pulled some codes, performed a few tests. The software acted a little buggy, sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. Anyway, here's the images for what I did today:
Keep in mind that I just replaced the CPS last week. However, based upon these codes, should I immediately be replacing the items that have failures?
