Yes indeed. Even though I still cannot sleep well on a bed for some reason (keep waking up every hour) at least it will be the same bed for the next month or so.
Happy Humpeth day Nor Cal FTE and friends! Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.
I am going to go get my security deposit from the mobile home park today, or actually what is left of it. Maybe there will be enough that I can send that guy in Atascadero a deposit to hold the Explorer for me. I see on the map that Atascadero is just north of San Luis Obispo which means it is not too far from Pismo. So, when I go down there to pick it up guess where I am heading after I top off the tank? However, I will not attempt to beat the Bronco's flight record as I will be there alone, and don't want to break something on the first day of ownership.
My bags are packed,,I`m ready to go,,,,,,,,,Heading up north until Tuesday but I did BBQ a tri tip last night so I have me some great lunches.
Good luck on the exploder Jim
See ya

Ya I'd keep it on the ground for a while Jim. You know, just until you know the rig a little better. Then let 'er rip!

I would imagine it IS possible, but I would not recommend it. Shift kits actually help your transmission live longer, as they make the shifts quicker, and that means less heat added to the fluid. I have not installed a shift kit personally, and only had one installed abut 30 years ago, but IIRC they remove a spring or two, and replace them with a stiffer spring. So in order to go back to OEM you would need stock springs. I don't know what else is included in the kit, other than a new pan gasket, so I "think" replacing that spring is all you would need to do. However, I personally would not do it.
Jim
I asked that question because my ride is hard and my shifts are hard. After some help from the folks iin this forum I will be fixing my suspension and leaving my transmission alone.
Happy day after hump day FTE. Been busy today since about 7am. had breakfast at Denny's (note to self, never again order the Lumberjack Slam. way too much food. ) Then rented a small 10ft u-haul van, then went to storage unit to get a few things, and to keep Comcast happy, I found the modem/cable box they keep calling me about. Then went grocery shopping, brought it all to the new place, returned the truck, and came home on the bus. It is amazing how much one can get done when able to drive everywhere instead of waiting on the bus. LOL.
Beginning to wonder about the guy who has the Explorer. Sent him an email asking about it passing smog with the headers on it, and what gears he had installed and even if he would want a small deposit to hold the truck for me, but no answer. It is still listed on CL, so I can only assume it is still for sale. Going to cost me $155 to rent a u-Haul truck one way to pick it up. I want to make sure it is worth it before I make the trip. I'll check with the So Cal guys to see if anyone lives in the area that can go check it out once I get the money to buy it.
Happy Friday fellers. First week full time at shop. Last Friday was final day at office job, boss acted like I deserted him...so happy to be done with corporate b.s. Lots of cool projects going, just finished up floating shelf project for The North Face retail store at the lots, I guess it's in the parking lot/pier at AT&T park...they want us to do sliding barn doors too, not sure if we have time. Finishing up huge entertainment center in disco bay-10' tall by 14' wide-and have 6 kitchens lined up after that.
Happy to see things are turning around for you Jim.

All the way up in my neck of the woods and not even a hello?! Hehe just kidding. We have a lot of great scenery here. The hiking trails are really nice. Even the ones that are easy to do for families.
