Thanks again co425 for the info. So I can't put a dodge fan on my mount...I'll have to measure this fan depth (front to rear), hopefully no deeper than dodge, looks bigger tho,larger diameter clutch assy. Plastic vanes and more of them. Maybe a little calmer around here tomorrow eve. Have to cook supper but I'll make time to measure fan so maybe we can figure out what to do.

Your welcome. Keep in mind the fan assembly is the same on dodges for the 24 valve as well if you decide to go that route. Mine is off of a 2001.

I did save the power lock actuators from a '90's Dodge donor as well so I have those, but only have 2.

I've also heard of guys using the actuators out of a mid 90's exploder & them working well.

That plus Brando (co425) recently told me they generic actuators on amazon are only like $15 each. That is very interesting. Another option to consider. I was getting ready to buy the cheap actuators because I wasn't considering power windows but I think I will study the above install before final decision. Thanks

I didn't get a pic yet but the fan wasn't as big as I remembered, 24" diameter, 6 blade(plastic). 4 1/4" depth from front of clutch to hub mounting face. Apparently will allow more room than the dodge version. I'll get a pic tomorrow hopefully

Here's another piece to that puzzle & more to sway you a bit...
power window swap - Old Ford Crew Cab Community

It's a template a guy sells so as to make the 90's power window regulators pretty much bolt in. Well, for the front 2 doors at least. I'll have ot figure out the rears on my crew.

Since I had pulled the power window regulators out of a couple 80's/90's broncos I parted I already have these around & was planning on trying to make them fit. That template just did the work for me. Now if I had only saved the door lock actuators from the broncos too...

OK, Im starting to consider this, and what Im about to ask may be in one of these threads, if it is just say so, what is everyone doing for window switches and filling the hole in the door/panel. I wasn't even thinking about power windows but I transfered job locations recently and we have to badge in and out every time. Kinda gets busy with steering clutching shifting rolling down windows. My regulators are a little stiff also.

It's been a long while since I read that thread so can't remember what he does, but I was planning on grabbing the switches from the crew I grabbed the wiring from. I would think switches from any Ford 4 door of the era would probably work - Ie: a crew cab, 4 door exploder or maybe a taurus. The switches all look physically similar if I remember right.

As for filling the hole in the door panel - I won't have that problem as I am making aluminum door panels for my crew.

No problem guys. Let me know if you get into it & what comes of the regulators for the rear doors. I have a few threads saved on that but can't remember if any of them deal with using the 90's regulators. I DO think I have one dealing with putting the motors from the 90's stuff (I'm thinking about Taurus ones as they are the same bolt pattern but stronger supposedly - have a thread on that too!) onto the existing regulators, so that was my thought.

I need to get my truck running before I get to any of the fun stuff like power windows though!

Latest small updates. Injectors in with the recommended two part thread sealer:37509/37397


Also got the Tstat/upper coolant neck/hoist bracket on and the rear hoist bracket

Your fan is going to depend more on your radiator. With as wide as it is I would be concerned about clearing your hoses. Which radiator are you going with again?
