Cleaning and prepping and taping...ugh this stuff is time consuming
Painted the exhaust side with VHT 2000* rattle can, worked really well on my daughters headers,('67 Mustang) still on after 1.5 years. Sorry I didn't get a photo before I taped it off.
Started trying to mix my primer, my paint thinner was thicker than my primer. Back to town for more primer. This happened so I could help a stranger on the side of the road in need of a good jack. All things have a purpose, Just not able to see it at first sometimes.
I have actually been doing stuff to the engine, bead blasting, cleaning, scrubbing, etc. Just didn't want to bore everyone with things like that.
Engine with two coats of primer.
Head with two coats of primer.
Various front accessories with two coats of primer.
Timing gear surround with two coats primer. Paint tomorrow, then assemble during the week hopefully. Daughter in basketball playoffs so that consumes a lot of my time.
My shop is a freakin mess! After I get the engine assembled Im gonna have to spend several days cleaning before I start on swap. Also have to weld up frame on vertical band saw to use for metal fab during the swap. Ill include some of that so there won't be so much "dead air" on here. I have a lead on a tranny and xcase to check on Monday
Thanks co425, I loved the way your engine looks, really POPS! Figured I need to go a different color so no one would accuse me of complete plagiarism. If you like that, you will love this:
Back in the day when I ran this thing on my 4bt, I had a few folks convinced it was a rare factory option.

Once again looks good.
Like your decal. Since there's a sucker born every minute, I wonder how many people won't even question it.
