I am looking at a 2000 Ranger 3.0 V-6 5 speed. Can anyone tell me the reliability of these trucks. This has 75000 miles and it appears to have a good engine and tranny. Will it last 100,000 without investing big bucks?
Thanks
I agree with Rockledge. The Ranger is a very reliable truck. The engines are also very reliable. The only problem you might have is with that manual transmission (it's not a true Ford product). If you do a search on these forums you'll probably find a lot of threads on that topic (transmission problems).
The ranger you mention should easily go over 100k with no problems. Judging by the mileage and the year, it has to be mostly highway miles on it, so it should be in great shape assuming proper maintainance.
