Well..Here we go again..Noise in front end is back. I didn't see any paperwork from when the dealer said BOTH struts were replaced..so..all I have is what he said. I called Ford..got the usual story..and a case number..dealer is going to take the car in again..This will be the 4th time..under warranty. I know that there is a limit to what the dealer can do, WITHOUT the Zone Manager getting into the fray. I would like to contact the Zone rep for Arkansas. Mark Martin is the dealer....but no help from anyone is forthcoming. If you can help..let me know. There is still a suspension problem, and my wife drives the car about every day..and if something breaks..???..thanks..jv..
Glad to see the dealer was trying to fix the problem. I've had buddies who had to go from one dealership to the next just to address truck troubles. Hope your wife's suspensions gets fixed real soon.
Picked up the '13 Escape yesterday from dealer. Keep in mind that in our area, Mark Martin owns most dealerships. I looked at his Ford website when searching..and was referred to the Buick.GMC dealership 30 miles away..They had one. I bought the car for my wife in January. Noticed a noise in the front passenger suspension.Took it back..#1..New bushings...Still noise...#2..BOTH new struts...#3.New links and general inspection...#4. They took it to the FORD store service. This, after nearly $1000 in parts and labor at the Buick garage...The verdict..and I talked to the Tech. that did the work...He said it looked like the PO had driven too far forward over a parking stop..and bent a brace that runs across the suspension..and under the radiator..This would sometimes hit the control arm..This was like an inch bend. Brace was straightened..and a complete 4 wheel alignment was done. TOTAL for the #4 Service..$49.95 !!..So..Now have both struts, seals and links..All for a 5 minute fix and an alignment...
