Try letting the pressure out of the degas bottle, I don't have much trouble removing the filter, but it does require both hands to get it started.

At least your's seals. I can't get mine to seal no matter what. I just deal with the little bit of coolant leaking and keep an eye on my degas bottle level.

Hey Mud: look close at your nipples in/out of the filter base. When I installed mine (same base as Sinister) I had a leak I thought was from the filter and I finally found it was actually the In nipple. I'm embarrassed to say but it took me two more tries of draining down the system (lordy those fumoto's are handy) and putting more Teflon tape and cranking that thing in until I thought it was going to strip. Third time was a charm and it is dry as a bone. Of course with this thread I'm wondering if I'll ever get my filter off now
