door latch assembly

You door latches are probably full of old oil and dust.
When I got my truck both door latches were sticky from sitting unused for years. I soaked them with WD40 and then just worked the mechanism, opening and shutting the doors ten or fifteen times. I repeated this several times.
That freed them up and, once the WD40 had evaporated, I oiled them and they've worked perfectly for the last six months. I can now give my doors a gentle push and they close with a satisfying click. I love it when things work properly.
