Anyone with a 14 noticed the feel and sometimes clunk when shifting to 4 high? My house sits up a hill and this time of year, routinely have to use 4X4 to get up. There is a little more noise and vibration than im use to. Usually shift coming down a semi flat dirt/ice road at low speeds, typically about 10mph. Going in for first oil change soon and was gonna ask them to check it out for peace of mind. Just curious if anyone else noticed it.

This is a great next step, gotpit; be sure to let us know what you find out. How many miles are on your truck?
Im just hitting about 6K miles.. Im use to a little noise as well, this just seems a bit more than im use to especially with a half ton. Not sure, but like I said, easy check for the dealer and then its at least noted as a concern if something breaks lose later. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Let us know what you hear from the dealer, gotpit. If you need any help from my neck of the woods, just give me a shout.
My truck is a 2012 and I'm in my 3rd winter with it. It's my 4th 4WD drive vehicle.
The 2 Broncos and the 95 Chevy all had a manual, lever type shift, so there was always engagement
noise.
No so with my new Ford. The is absolutely no noise going in and out of 4H. I used it
3 times yesterday.
The only "cluck" I can imagine might be the transmission, having anticipated a downshift being required, and
making a clunk doing that.
I had a lot of clunks, like a shot put rolling to the back of the tranny case the 1st 6000 miles, during
the 4th to 3rd downshift.
Like a dog, it had to "learn" what to do so it wouldn't get swore at. And my tranny has been
"clunkless "since then.
Your transfer case should be the same Borg Warner model as in my 2012.
When you hear the noise. Are you shifting to 4hi while moving? If so this is normal, as you are hearing the front diff. locking the hubs. Try shift to 4hi while stopped then proceed to drive on and see if the noise continues.
