When you throw in the adjustment for the road crown, it no wonder that the truck leans left.

It should be a easy fix to shim left side of the truck. I mean I could do it after work after having two beers. I learned long ago if ford will not fix the issues you have to fix it on your own dime.

I think we are making mountain out of a mole hill.
If Ford has all kinds of crap on one side of the truck, they should compensate via engineering for said crap. Period.

BUT, since this issue is not present in every truck, the argument is moot.

You may not think so because your truck doesn't lean, or if it does, it doesn't lean over 3/4" like mine and others do. That is not an acceptable amount of lean in anyones eyes.

And in some cases, Ford via their dealers has attempted to solve the problem and make the customer happy with their almost $70K truck.

I just came back from talking with the tech again and we are now going to go with the Ford rear shim/spacer attempt to fix the issue as written in their service bulletins and manuals.

I can tell you first hand that Ford ABSOLUTELY knows this is an issue as I personally have seen it in writing. It is a "fix if complained about" type of bulletin, and lists a whole parameter of measurement, repair steps, etc., and my dealer is making efforts to fix my truck to which I am very willing to work with them as long as needed to allow them to try.

I am still pretty annoyed about the paint chip in my bumper as it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but they are so far very willing to address that, so again, I am willing to let them make it right.

FOLLOW UP..........

Just wanted to let people know that there is indeed a fix to this engineering and/or structural screw up.

As I said, the replacement front spring did nothing. New measurements were taken and according to Fords list of "next steps", a 1/2 spacer was put in place on top of the driver side OEM spacer block. New U bolts also were mandated due to the spacer.

As expected (in my line of thinking anyways), as soon as the spacer went in, not only did it lift the LR, but it dropped the RF which addressed the higher passenger front corner.

This was the result.........

Looks 110% better to the naked eye and is pretty darn close to being level.

So if your truck has the "lean", there is indeed a bulletin about it along with steps to fix. Just be aware that my trucks sagging was more than many here have reported. Ford will not fix anything under 3/4" difference which we all know is totally asinine.

Good luck in getting yours fixed.

ETA: The fix also slightly unleveled my perfectly level HD Ford mud flaps that I painstakingly installed, but such is life.

Nice to see you got this resolved. And hopefully this will help others in the future to get the lean out!

I have to say that the local dealer and especially the tech (who is indeed a master tech) went out of their way to make sure I was happy happy with the fix.

I kid.
But in all seriousness, the rear spring shim will "fix" it, as it will drive more weight to that corner.
