My big bucks 2015 Platinum 350 is starting to **** me off.
I have the typewriter noise (from day 1), the bed is in no way lined up equally with the doors on both sides (horizontally), and now the driver side sag that I noticed a while back is REALLY pronounced.
I understand that the fuel tank (on 3/4 right now) MAY have something to do with it, but with a Stanley level and taking height from level to fender lip, there is a full 1" difference from driver side to pass. side at both front and rear. It is HIGHLY noticeable when parked in my shop.
Truck will be going to dealer as soon as I can, and I sure hope Ford doesn't try the "within acceptable level" BS with me.
Not trying to be funny, just curious if there is a pattern.
I weigh 180 and my truck doesn't lean/list port side
Valid point, but...
I think we're measuring it when we're not in the truck (at least I am) and mine with a less than half full fuel tank. Plus like I said, it is noticeable when it's parked level.
I'm sure it leans even more when my >200 muscular hulk is in the truck. Maybe the springs are already weakened on the driver's side with only 6k.
All 3 of my Super Duties have had the driver side sag. I'm 230lbs.
OK, but my 2 other SD (2010,2012) sagged, period.
This one, with only 1K miles on sure as heck shouldn't be like this. I had always noticed it from the rear, and today I noticed it from the front. If you can visually tell there is a sag when viewed from the front, something is wrong. It also sometimes clunks in the RR when going over bumps. Is it related, who knows, but at close to $70K MSRP, these kinds of thing should be non existent.
My concern is that like with most things, Ford will try to weasel their way out of all things warrantied.
None of my other trucks have sagged, including the 2012 SD, and I trade every 3 years. Some of which were half tons. I'm not concerned, just a little annoyed. Overall, I'm liking this truck.
Mine does it too which may not be that noticeable when driving at stock height but throw a 10" lift on and its quite noticeable and no matter what you do with the springs it doesn't go away. I first swapped the springs from side to side and went as far as putting new springs in. still has a list to it. Its annoying but I've just grown to live with it.

Forgetting about your lift, you changed the springs side to side AND tried new springs and it still sags on the driver side? Did you do front and rear?
OK, we got any engineers on the forum? I would love to hear any thoughts as to how that is possible.

New springs in the rear and front coils swapped from side to side. The only way this is possible is something frame related. The spring perches must be mounted differently on the frame. My truck had about 2000miles on it when I lifted it. That's where I first noticed it as most lifts ask you to measure all 4 corners before you start.
...Truck will be going to dealer as soon as I can...
Send me your info in a PM so I can escalate this to your regional customer service manager, jh225. I'll need your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.
The same offer goes to anyone else who is experiencing this; I'm here to do what I can to help.
It is all to do with the additional weight on the drivers side of the vehicle with the fuel tank. The exhaust on the passenger side probably weighs less than half a full tank of fuel and DEF. Even though the fuel tank is back in the truck the weight is transferred to the front axle/springs by the frame. A close approximation would be to have someone sit in the rear seat on the passenger side that weighs about 175 lbs and see if it levels out. This would probably be close to the difference in weight side to side.
Just checked mine and both sides are 43 3/4" dead on with 1/2 tank of fuel. That's the rear. The front has a 1/2" diff. which I've never noticed till this thread and personally it doesn't bother me. If this is the only anomaly I have with this truck I will sleep good at night. Too many important things to expend my energy on.

While I hear what you are saying, and I will try some passenger side weight, there is no way in the world that half a tank of fuel should make my drivers side a full inch lower than the passenger side, measured at front wheels, rear wheels, running boards, mirrors, etc. If that is Fords story, I ain't buying it.
As I explained to Crystal in PM, I will not be able to get my truck to the dealer for a while, so I will update when I have more info.
