Hello all! Fairly new to FTE...I have been reading for a while and lots of great information!
My question is when using my iphone either via bluetooth or USB connection the volume of the music is pretty low. I am noticing this with music purchased direct from iTunes, loaded into iTunes from CD's, and Pandora. The phone volume has no effect on the output as far as I can tell when using bluetooth or USB connections. Am I missing a setting on the stereo system? Truck is a 15' F350 Platinum with the MyFord Touch/Sync/Nav.
Thanks and for any fellow Pat's fans out there GO PATS!!!
I've got an Android phone so I can't comment on anything iPhone specific. However, my phone does have a separate bluetooth volume control that will attenuate the stereo volume if its not turned all the way up.
My Android allows me to control the blue tooth volume as a separate control, maybe IPhone does that also. I have also seen applications to boast the Bluetooth volume. Had the same type of issues on my 2009.
Once you're paired...they should be 2 separate volumes, at least on my ipod it is. Make sure once you're streaming, the volume on your device is all the way up, then you can control the volume from your radio or steering wheel.
Never seen one that's too low like that, maybe a reset is in order?
Over USB you won't have volume control on your device itself, only your stereo....but over line in (3.5mm jack) you should have separate volume controls as well.
Yes, there's a separate Bluetooth volume control. I can't run the volume wide open, though, or the audio distorts. This isn't a complaint, just an observation.
I will check it out tomorrow. Thank you for the information! Right now the audio levels from my phone playing music is even less than the level of Sirius. There is a huge volume difference between an FM station, Bluetooth streamed audio, Factory Sirius.
