Fitting 05 Mustang rims on an Aero?
I recently got a set of 05 Mustang 16" rims & tires in a trade. I put the rear ones on, and they look awesome! But, the center of the front rotors are a bit too big. I'm wondering if anyone's dealt with this before, perhaps on a Ranger or Explorer. Seems like a 3/4" spacer of some sort might make it work. The lugs probably aren't long enough though. I was also reading the recent brake thread, and might there be a different rotor that fits the wheel and the spindle? I'd love to make these work, without "rinventing the wheel" LOL.

Still in the experimental stages. The centers are small on the mustang rims mainly for the center caps. Think I'll post over in the ranger section and see if anyone's done it before.

What kind of discs, Mustang II style? I found a pic of an Aero with 04 Mustang GT rims, though those have fairly large center caps. I haven't had any time/motivation to do any more figuring. Maybe Saturday.

Stick with 94/95 Mustang wheels and you will be fine, no offset problems.
I tried newer Mustang wheels and had problems with Center Caps not fitting. So then I went to spacers then went back to 94 Factory wheels,
I run 215/70/15" on Ford Mustang Factory Alloy's, 3 seasons and 16" Factory Alloy's for the 225/60/16 winter tires. Both run with their center caps - no rubbing. I do like the lower profile experience yet the cost is $200-$300 greater for the tires. Yet I got the 16" with Nokia studded tires for a good price so I run them when I need them.
Lower profile = stiffer ride, tighter cornering, higher cost for tires.
Higher profile, better ride, slightly looser cornering, least expensive tires.
Yes both sets have load ratings greater then the original 14 tires.
Speedometer reading is best with the 15" tires, 65 on Speedometer is 66 according to GPS, better then factory 14"s which was off by 3 too fast on speedometer according to GPS.
Michelin Defenders are much quieter and better handling in all conditions then others I have tried plus have less rolling resistance & 90,000 mile wear, so they claim.
