first car

Ok well I own this truck and I understand almost all of it ive done alot of work myself but this opening beneath the carb I dont know its purpose.... im not sure if its a breather or what all I know is my inline 6 doesn't sound like others

Also a bit more information is needed and pics are a great help in showing what you may or may not be able to explain.

What is the year of the truck, efi or carbed, is the hole on the intake or a carb spacer?

The more info you can give, the more we are able to help.

The one opening underneath a carburetor is for the air/fuel mixture to pass through into the intake manifold.
